1115 Waiver Program Housing Advocate – Catholic Charities Housing Office
Minimum Salary: $22.00 / Hour
Maximum Salary: $22.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 4:30PM (35 hours per week)
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive housing support to eligible households under the 1115 Waiver, documenting services accurately in the Unite Us platform.
Pre‑tenancy services: Assist with rental applications, negotiate lease agreements, set up new housing units, connect clients to financial assistance for housing costs, and ensure the living environment meets their needs.
Stay informed on policies, eligibility requirements, and necessary documentation for programs such as Temporary Assistance, Public Assistance, Section 8 Housing, Rental Assistance, SSI/SSDI, SNAP, HEAP, and other relevant resources.
Provide guidance and advocacy to help clients negotiate expanded benefits and advocate for themselves in conferences and hearings.
Assist clients in securing stable housing: conduct outreach to landlords and establish partnerships; help clients locate and apply for affordable housing.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
1-3 years of experience in mental health, substance use, or human services.
Relevant experience in Human Services or a related field.
Valid Driver's License, proof of current car insurance and registration, and access to a reliable, working vehicle.
