Wage CDL Driver (Institutional Chauffeur)
James Madison University's Facilities Management is accepting applications for a wage CDL driver (Institutional Chauffeur).
Duties include driving JMU students, faculty and staff using various modes of transportation, such as buses, motor coaches, sedans, vans and SUV's. Trips will involve weekdays, overnights and weekends.
Required: Applicants must possess a good driving record, a commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement to drive vehicles with 16 plus passengers and a current medical examiner's certificate. Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule and work well with faculty and students. Applicants must also possess working knowledge and experience: in bus/coach operations. General knowledge of coach and bus components. Knowledge of trip routing, managing trip logs and detailed reporting. Excellent customer service, planning and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules. Availability on weekdays and weekends including days, evenings and nights.
This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and an acceptable MVR and ClearingHouse query.
