Marketing Liaison Intern – part‑time
Summary
Join the Rangelands Research team as a part‑time Intern and marketing liaison. Work closely with the Rangelands, Marketing & Communications, and Foundations Development teams to translate scientific research into broad audience communications, build brand awareness, and support fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
Translate scientific language for broad audiences.
Collaborate with the Rangeland team, Marketing & Communications, and Foundations Development teams.
Build brand awareness, educate, and convert readers into potential donors and supporters.
Act as a bridge between complex scientific concepts and target audiences, translating technical data into engaging, persuasive content.
Participate in webpage design and marketing materials for donors and foundations.
Work under the VP of Marketing to develop and execute materials that raise awareness of the Rangelands project.
Report to the Rangeland scientist and collaborate cross‑functionally.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Digital marketing experience (SEO, social media).
Understanding of key messaging, target audience segments, and primary marketing channels.
Experience with brand/graphic design thinking and brand identity/marketing.
Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Passion for the planet, conservation, and environmental stewardship.
Ability to translate science jargon into human‑impact stories.
Preferred Additional Skills
Experience in social media branding/product advertising.
Multimedia or short‑format social storytelling experience.
Qualifications
Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in marketing, digital marketing, business administration, or related field.
Recent graduates welcome to apply.
Work Environment
Indoor.
Hours and Compensation
Paid, part‑time, non‑exempt, hourly. 24+ hours per week (Monday‑Friday). Hourly salary $15 (Massachusetts minimum wage or equivalent). Internship up to 90 days.
Start Date and Location
Desired start date: June 2026. Location: Falmouth, Massachusetts. Hybrid preferable; remote possible.
