Position Overview
Engineering Technologist I – Utility Engineering Career kickstart with hands‑on experience in utility distribution design at Asplundh Engineering Services.
Responsibilities
Gather and analyze field data to support distribution design.
Assist in developing cost‑effective construction‑ready design packages.
Apply customer standards to ensure safe, accurate deliverables.
Coordinate basic permitting requirements.
Support construction teams by helping resolve design questions.
Complete field verifications as needed.
Meet productivity expectations and project timelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or minimum 1 year of related experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to follow technical standards and processes.
CAD experience (AutoCAD or MicroStation) a plus, not required.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
