Engineering Technologist II
As an Engineering Technologist II, you will independently support electrical distribution design projects by collecting technical data, preparing cost‑effective designs, and ensuring compliance with utility standards. You’ll apply your industry experience to deliver accurate construction‑ready job plans with minimal oversight while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

3+ years of experience in distribution planning OR a combination of Engineering Technology education and relevant field/design experience.

Ability to interpret standards and apply design principles independently

Strong problem‑solving and communication skills

CAD experience (AutoCAD or MicroStation) helpful but not required

Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Independently gather and evaluate field/technical data

Produce turnkey distribution designs aligned with customer requirements

Coordinate permitting needs with municipalities

Collaborate with construction teams to clarify design details

Conduct field investigations as needed

Support customer‑driven projects with cross‑functional collaboration

Manage workload to meet deadlines and avoid construction delays

Other duties as assigned

FIELD WORK DISCLAIMER
Applicants must be comfortable performing field work as needed. Safety protocols—including PPE, hard hats, eye/ear protection, and proper footwear—are strictly enforced. Fieldwork may require walking, standing, and carrying equipment for extended periods.
