DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position ensures the safe and efficient upkeep of buildings, equipment, and mechanical systems throughout the Ebensburg Center. The work supports daily operations by using skills in multiple trades to keep the facility functioning properly. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
General Repairs:
Perform skilled work on doors, windows, furniture, floors, roofs, and similar structures to keep facilities in good condition
Equipment Maintenance:
Inspect and service mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to keep all equipment operating safely and reliably
Construction Tasks:
Build forms, install new structures, and perform masonry, painting, and carpentry tasks across the facility
Grounds Care:
Maintain outdoor areas by clearing debris, cutting grass, removing snow, and supporting safe access for staff and individuals
Tool Operation:
Use power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment to complete construction, repair, and fabrication assignments
Safety Practices:
Follow proper safety procedures and work order systems to complete tasks in a secure and efficient manner

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or
Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades;
or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
