Description

Provide leadership to the team; direct and coordinate work assignments and review performance to ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff. Responsible for profitable growth of the department or section; ensuring staff levels, staff loading, and staff assignments meet project requirements while maintaining billable goals. Implement, apply, and support company, global practice and/or regional office programs and initiatives; successfully navigating and managing change within the department or section. Provide expert level technical, design guidance and support. Achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance. Manage department budget and expenditure of funds. Prepare and present workload and monthly financial reports to global practice or regional management and applicable project managers. Responsible for the recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for department staff. Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department. Responsible for interpreting the organization's policies, purposes, and goals to staff. Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence. Enforce compliance with company and site safety policies. Responsible for diversity initiatives. Comply with all policies and standards. Primarily domestic travel up to 25% of the time is required based on project needs.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Architecture Construction, or a directly related field from an accredited program plus five (5) years of experience in design or project management.

Must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following:

+ Standard engineering techniques and procedures.

+ SKM Power Tools or ETAP.

+ Completing electrical designs including one-line drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and routing plans.

+ Conceptual planning, front end engineering designs (FEED), feasibility studies and estimating, and construction support.

+ Performing engineering calculations including: voltage drop for cable sizing or electrical equipment protection sizing.

+ Completing electrical equipment specifications and evaluating vendor production drawings for technical acceptance for equipment including: Transformers or Switchgears/Motor Control Centers.

+ Completing variable frequency drives, or of the equivalent, sizing, specifications, programming and testing of equipment during project site visits.

+ Completing emergency back-up generation sizing and specification for project design.

+ Factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing during project site visits.

+ Completing electrical systems studies including: load flow, short circuit, steady-state motor starting and arc flash analysis.

+ Reviewing protective device settings.

+ Electrical area classification studies.

Telecommuting is allowed up to 30 days per year. Primarily domestic travel up to 25% of the time is required based on project needs.
