Library Services Coordinator
The UNM School of Law Library seeks an experienced Reference and Outreach Librarian. This position reports to the Reference and Outreach Supervisor and is assigned to work full‑time at the School of Law.
Responsibilities
Provide complex and specialized reference services, both remotely and in‑person, by assisting library patrons who are engaged in legal research.
Complete legal research projects varying in complexity with both short‑term and long‑term deadlines.
Provide legal research instruction to students, legal and information professionals, and other patron groups.
Assist with public services, collections, and systems projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctorate.
Master of Library Science or equivalent.
Experience using technology tools for teaching, presentations, promotional campaigns, or digital content creation.
Skill in the use of the Springshare suite.
Ability to build and maintain relationships and coordinate projects with the greater UNM community, faculty and students from other educational institutions, the New Mexico legal community, state and tribal government and court system employees, public libraries, and members of the general public.
Experience in University of New Mexico systems and administrative processes.
