About the Role

Sanders Brothers Construction Company is seeking a safe, reliable, and professional Tri-Axle Dump Truck Driver to support our Charleston-area operations. In this role, you will haul asphalt and aggregate materials to various local worksites, supporting road construction, site development, and asphalt production projects. Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a tri-axle dump truck to haul and deliver construction materials used in road building, site development, and asphalt production.

• Maintain all required DOT driving qualifications.

• Work evenings and weekends as needed; weekly hours may exceed 40 while remaining within DOT limits.

• Operate in varying weather and environmental conditions, including dusty, wet, loud, or extreme-temperature environments.

• Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and safe; promptly report any safety concerns or mechanical issues.

• Follow all SBCC policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

• Perform additional general duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable driving record in accordance with SBCC policy.

• DOT medical certification (must be maintained).

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and maintain a drug-free status throughout employment.

• Must meet SBCC background check standards.

• Ability to stand, crawl, and kneel for extended periods.

• Ability to work in environments with dust, dirt, loud noise, and extreme temperatures.

• Preferred:

  • 3+ years of commercial vehicle operation in a construction environment.

  • Tank and/or Hazmat endorsements.

  • Experience driving tri-axle dump trucks.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Current 3-year MVR at time of application.
