Part-Time Library Assistant (Thrall Library District of Middletown and Wallkill)
Middletown Thrall Library is seeking a part–time Library Assistant to work in our Adult Services Department for up to 20 hours per week providing point of use reference services at our Reference Desk and computer workstations.
We are currently seeking individuals who have the ability to work up to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday and Sunday shifts. Shift differential offered for Sunday shifts (September – June)
QUALIFICATIONS : Applicants must be in possession of a four-year college degree. Previous experience in customer service preferred. Conversational Spanish language fluency a plus.
JOBREQUIREMENTS : Applicants must possess strong listening, communication, and technology skills.
The position is open immediately and interviews with qualified applicants will take place as soon as possible.
Initial placement is for 90 days. Employment after 90 days is contingent upon the applicant being certified eligible by the Orange County Department of Human Resources through their continuous recruitment process.
