Security Officer Kalamazoo MI

StateWide Security is seeking qualified Armed Security Officers for afternoon and overnight coverage positions in the Kalamazoo area. This is an armed post requiring professionalism, vigilance, and strict adherence to security protocols. Applicants must have a valid CPL and their own registered sidearm and duty gear.
Key Responsibilities

Provide security protection and access control
Patrol assigned properties and monitor activity
Prevent unauthorized access, theft, or damage
Report and respond to unusual or emergency situations
Enforce rules, regulations, and post orders
Complete reports and required documentation
Interact professionally with staff, residents, and visitors
Respond to alarms and suspicious activity
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

Valid Michigan CPL
Own registered sidearm and required duty gear
Minimum age of 21
High school diploma or GED
Reliable transportation with a good driving record
Ability to work afternoons, overnights, weekends, holidays, and on call
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Physically capable of standing, walking, and responding to emergencies
Prior law enforcement or military preferred but not required
Customer service skills and professional appearance required
Work may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Assignments may include student housing, apartment complexes, and retail locations. Officers must remain alert and oriented for the entire duration of the shift.
