A leading California litigation firm is seeking a Law & Motion Attorney to focus exclusively on the written and procedural side of litigation. This fully remote role is ideal for an attorney who excels in legal research, writing, and crafting persuasive arguments that drive case outcomes.
The position involves minimal courtroom work, no depositions, discovery meetings, or trial prep and centers on high-level motion practice and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and argue motions, including demurrers, summary judgment, motions to compel, in limine, and sanctions.
Prepare memoranda of points and authorities, briefs, and supporting declarations.
Conduct detailed legal research and assist with post-trial or appellate motions as needed.
Collaborate with trial counsel to ensure the written strategy supports the overall case objectives.
Qualifications
J.D. and an active California Bar license (required).
5+ years of civil litigation experience (plaintiff or defense).
Proven strength in motion practice, research, and writing.
Excellent command of procedural and evidentiary rules.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 – $350,000 and Bonuses. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
