**Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift**

**Pay Range:** $72,000 - $74,000 annually

**About the Role**

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day?to?day warehouse operations on the 2nd shift. This leader ensures productivity, safety, accuracy, and service-level expectations are consistently achieved. The role includes supervision of warehouse associates, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a positive, high?performance work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operational Leadership**

+ Oversee all 2nd shift warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, replenishment, shipping, and inventory control.

+ Assign labor and manage workflow to meet daily production goals.

+ Monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions when needed.

**Team Supervision & Development**

+ Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates.

+ Conduct shift huddles, assign daily tasks, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

+ Manage attendance, performance feedback, coaching, and corrective action processes.

**Safety & Compliance**

+ Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety programs.

+ Conduct regular safety audits, ensure proper equipment use, and promote a strong safety culture.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies, quality expectations, and operational standards.

**Process Improvement**

+ Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

+ Support implementation of operational strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts.

**Communication & Reporting**

+ Maintain clear communication across shifts, departments, and leadership teams.

+ Prepare and deliver shift reports, performance updates, and escalate issues as needed.

+ Collaborate with cross?functional teams including HR, Maintenance, and Training.

**Qualifications**

**Required**

+ 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.

+ Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

+ Proficiency with WMS systems and basic computer applications (Word, Excel, email).

+ Ability to lead teams in a fast?paced, high?volume environment.

**Preferred**

+ Experience in high?volume distribution or e?commerce fulfillment.

+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

**Physical Requirements**

+ Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise levels, etc.).

We are currently in search of an experienced 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead to assist our warehouse team in accomplishing their goal of creating Book Fairs of the highest quality for shipment to our local schools. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor or branch manager work with and direct a small team of associates in one or more functional areas of the facility, i.e., Product Returns, Stock Replenishment, Truck Loading and Unloading.
Required to operate Forklift (Stand Up) and motorized pallet jacks equipment daily upon successful completion of the SBF power equipment training program.
May assist the warehouse supervisor in planning and presenting branch or departmental daily start-up meetings
Lead Special Projects as needed.
Assist with new-hire orientation and train associates on all 2nd Shift Warehouse functions.
Support the branch team by driving continuous process improvement for all warehouse functions.
Ensure that all warehouse equipment and tools are properly utilized to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety; report any unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or injury (to self or co-worker) to your supervisor or manager immediately.
Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders and pushing/pulling display cases.
Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards according to company standards.
Maintain a courteous and positive relationship with all co-workers and customers.
Drug and alcohol-free policy compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
