Responsibilities Implement program of study.
Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning.
Utilize instructional management system to increase student learning and maximize time on task.
Monitor student progress toward learning outcomes.
Maintain and upgrade professional skills.
Promote and maintain positive pupil‑teacher‑parent relations.
Maintain professional work habits.
Participate in faculty and professional meetings.
Attend educational conferences and teacher workshops.
Perform related duties such as sponsoring one or more special activities or student organizations.
Coordinate work with members of the particular department.
Accountable to the principal for performance of assigned duties.
Relate role to building and system‑wide programs and objectives.
Demonstrate in‑class behavior that shows pupils have achieved established objectives.
Exhibit out‑of‑class behavior that results in effective cooperation with colleagues and the community.
Qualifications Graduate of a four‑year college with correct certification.
Function effectively as a member of an instructional team.
Maintain strong commitment to the subject matter taught.
Work effectively with the community.
Have ability to adapt to differences and changes in pupil characteristics.
