Essential Functions
The Music Therapist PRN is responsible for providing direct services for neonates, infants, toddlers, school age children, adolescents, young adults and their families by using music to help attain and maintain their maximum levels of functioning in the areas of physical, cognitive, communication and social/emotional health. Assists with treatment and program planning designed to promote family centered care and education, to reduce distress, increase coping, provide normalization, improve functional skills, promote social interaction and support developmental integrity through music and play experiences.
Experience Qualifications
2 years of experience Clinical- pediatric healthcare
Education Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree Music Therapy
Preferred: Master's Degree Music Therapy
Licenses and Certifications
Certification Name: Basic Life Support HeartSaver & First Aid
Required
Issuer: American Heart Association
Licensure Speciality: Training Certification
Certification Name: Registered Music Therapy
Required
Issuer: Certification Board for Music Therapists
Licensure Speciality: Certification
