Assistant Chief Engineer

**Overview**

**Pay: $83.14/hr**

The pay listed is the hourly range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

This is a union Local 39 position and as such will include union benefits.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assist in managing daily operations of all critical systems (electrical, HVAC, UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, sequence of operations, controls

+ Proficient in writing, reviewing MOP's and EOP's

+ Supervise and support engineering team members

+ Perform and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs

+ Respond to emergency situations and critical system alarms

+ Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

+ Support vendor management and contractor oversight

+ Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation

+ Assist with budgeting and operational planning

**Qualifications**

+ 5+ years of experience in data center or critical facility operations

+ Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

+ Experience with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, cooling systems, plumbing

+ Leadership or supervisory experience preferred

+ Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation

+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
