
Dental Assistant

Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Assistant to support our Dental team in providing high-quality preventive and restorative care. This role includes chairside assisting, radiology, sterilization, patient education, front-desk support as needed, and assisting with public health-focused dental outreach. The Dental Assistant will work under the direction of the Dental Director and collaborate closely with our clinical and administrative staff across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for dental exams and procedures, including medical history review and vital signs.
- Perform chairside assisting for routine care, preventive services, and treatment procedures.
- Expose and develop radiographs following standard protocols.
- Inventory, order, and stock supplies as directed.
- Document operative notes, charges, and appointments; maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist the Hygienist as needed.
- Provide patient education, including oral hygiene instructions.
- Education: Completion of a Dental Assistant program from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required radiology and coronal polishing certifications as applicable.
- Experience: One year of on-the job training preferred. Strong knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and materials. Strong communication and organizational skills.
