Shift: 1st Shift - Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay Range: $25-$30/hour (based on experience)
Location: Milwaukee

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with manual machining, can consistently hold tight tolerances (0.001" or better), and thrives working independently with minimal supervision in a high-precision environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate a manual horizontal lathe to machine metal components to exact print specifications
- Perform complete machine setups, including tooling selection, alignment, and speed/feed adjustments
- Bore soft jaws and modify fixturing for unique setups
- Maintain tolerance requirements of 0.001" or tighter
- Inspect and verify parts using micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings
- Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and quality personnel to troubleshoot machining challenges
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating a manual horizontal lathe in a precision machining environment
- Proven ability to consistently hold tight tolerances
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Proficient with precision measuring tools
- Ability to independently complete setups and troubleshoot issues
- Must own personal tools, including indicators and general hand tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
