Position Overview

As a Medication Technician, you will assist in administering prescribed medications under the supervision of the attending physician and the Health Services Coordinator/Director of Nursing Services. Your responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with established nursing standards, LSC policies, and North Carolina regulations.

What You'll Do

Administer medications safely and accurately according to physician orders and care plans

Maintain compliance with nursing standards, facility procedures, and regulatory requirements

Document medication administration and resident care activities in the electronic medical record system

Promptly report changes in resident conditions and any incidents or exposures

Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and help foster a respectful, dignified environment

Participate in training and continuing education to maintain certification

Who We're Looking For

Education: Minimum completion of 10th grade

Certification: Valid North Carolina Medication Technician certification with ongoing continuing education

Experience: No prior experience required

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), stand/walk for extended periods, and assist with resident mobility using safe lifting techniques
