Hultquist Place Assisted Living is seeking two Full-Time Medication Aides for 1st Shift to support our residents and care team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a new and growing role that focuses on resident-centered care, safety, and independence.

Position Summary
The Medication Aide assists residents in our Assisted Living Program (ALP) with the self-administration of medications in accordance with New York State regulations and individualized service plans.
This role supports resident safety, dignity, and independence while working under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
What You'll Do
Assist residents with self-administration of medications per service plans
Follow MAR/eMAR documentation and medication assistance procedures
Observe and report changes in condition, side effects, or refusals
Document assistance accurately and timely
Ensure proper medication storage and safety practices
Promote resident independence, dignity, and privacy
Collaborate with nurses, aides, and the care team
Participate in required training and quality initiatives
Important Scope of Role
No medication administration
No clinical assessments or nursing judgment
No interpretation of physician orders
All work performed under licensed nursing supervision
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Successful completion of Hultquist Place's in-house medication assistance training program, including demonstrated competency, is required prior to independent assignment and will be provided upon hire
Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Preferred:
1-3 years of experience with medication assistance
Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare
Experience working with older adults
Schedule
Full-Time, 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
Schedule includes every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed
Pay & Benefits
$17.00
$18.50/hour (based on experience)
Shift differentials available when covering other shifts:
$1.50/hour for 2nd shift
$0.75/hour for 3rd shift
