Position Overview
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Adjunct / Substitute Non-Classroom Instructor POOL (college credit) within San Diego Community College District.

Key Responsibilities

Handle daily press operations, media relations, social media posts, program webpage management, and program promotion.

Assist in recruitment and transfer of student‑athletes.

Support game event statistics recording and operations, and act as liaison with CCCAA for sports information.

Maintain live statistics during games using computer‑based code entry for all 13 sports and 150‑200 home contests.

Develop and update webpages at www.sdcityknights.com .

Capture team and individual photos, create profiles and interviews.

Create and maintain athlete and team archives/history.

Produce videos for advertising teams.

Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram) for the sports program and connect work to instructional course info.

Liaise and coordinate with local media and neighboring colleges.

Provide contact assistance with 4‑year universities for recruitment and transfer of student athletes.

Distribute news bulletins to the campus.

Ensure compliance with rules and statistical analysis requirements.

Participate in conference SID group alignment.

Assist students in promotion to 4‑year universities.

Serve as a designee for game administration/observer when the Athletic Director is split between locations.

Cover 4–5 separate games in a single day as needed.

Have knowledge of all 13 sports team requirements.

Attend all athletics‑related meetings; attend away contests as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions.

Any Bachelor’s degree AND two (2) years of professional experience; or

Any Associate degree AND six (6) years of professional experience; or

The equivalent.

Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a professional association that is a member of NACES or ACEI; an original evaluation must be presented at the time of hire.

Employment Conditions
Selected candidate must submit official transcripts, a certificate of a tuberculosis exam (renewable every four years), undergo a Live Scan fingerprinting, and provide original documents proving eligibility to work in the United States. The candidate may be transferred to any site at the discretion of the Chancellor.
