NURSE: Adjunct / Substitute Instructor or Non-Instructor POOL (college credit)
Location: District Wide
Position Type: Adjunct
Salary will be based on the official transcripts and verifications of previous work experience received prior to the first month of employment. Salary schedules are available on the SDCCD website.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and evaluate health promotion activities on campus.
Provide RN care to patients (first aid, vaccinations, etc.).
Teach curriculum and laboratory classes as assigned.
Be available for student support outside of class hours.
Adhere to established curriculum and course outlines.
Maintain professional conduct and ethical standards.
Stay current in subject matter knowledge.
Perform record keeping and maintain accurate documentation.
Provide quality instruction and encourage student discussion.
Attend all scheduled classes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : Master's in Nursing, or Bachelor's in Nursing plus Master's in Health Education or Health Science, or the equivalent, or the higher qualification set by the Board of Registered Nursing.
Direct patient care experience within the previous five years in the nursing area, demonstrated by one year of full‑time clinical experience as a registered nurse in the designated area or equivalent teaching experience.
Valid California Registered Nurse license and California Public Health Nurse Certificate.
Desired Qualifications
RN, MSN, or PHN.
Foreign degree evaluation by a NACES or ACEI professional association.
