Title: Additive Manufacturing Account Manager

Position: Full‑time (40 hours per week)

Job Summary: Designfusion is seeking a results‑driven and motivated Account Manager to join our sales team. This technical sales role is responsible for driving sales of industrial additive manufacturing equipment, additive services, and production parts across a multi‑state territory (Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin). The role focuses on building long‑term client relationships and driving new business opportunities. You will identify customer needs, present tailored solutions, and deliver technical demonstrations to showcase the value of our advanced 3D printing technologies. The position reports directly to the Director of U.S. Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Industrial 3D Printer Sales: Identify and address the unique challenges faced by manufacturing companies by offering tailored solutions through industrial composite and metal 3D printers. Engage with decision makers to uncover pain points such as production inefficiencies, high costs, or design limitations, and demonstrate how 3D printing technology can drive innovation and improve efficiency.

Production Parts Sales: Build relationships with potential clients by understanding their manufacturing challenges and presenting printed parts as a cost‑effective and innovative solution.

Tradeshow and Events: Represent Designfusion at trade shows and events to promote products and services and develop business opportunities.

Prospecting: Generate sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, email marketing, and other business development activities.

Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing pain points, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying new business opportunities.

Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to align customer requirements, set expectations, define project timelines, and deliver solutions. Collaborate with other Account Managers to improve sales numbers and business processes.

Forecasting: Accurately maintain and update a 90‑day forecast.

Sales Quotas: Achieve and maintain sales quota set forth by management.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in industrial manufacturing, additive manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.

Associate or higher degree in business, engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, communications, entrepreneurship, or a related field.

Excellent organization and time‑management skills.

Strong understanding of additive manufacturing technologies and mechanical engineering processes.

Professional presence with strong communication and presentation skills.

A successful track record of selling to C‑Suite and mid‑level executives.

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. Compensation based on candidate experience and skills. Company matching retirement program.

This on‑site position includes an estimated travel commitment of up to 40%, which may involve regional or national travel to support client needs, attend meetings, or participate in training and events.
