Position Overview
The Malco Group is seeking a highly creative, detail‑oriented Studio Production Lead. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the in‑house studio, including professional creative photography and video production; from concepting and storyboarding to capture (in‑studio and on‑location), editing, optimization, and delivery. As the primary producer of visual studio content production, you will create polished, high‑quality assets include implementation of custom motion graphics, animations, effects and transitions in videos that showcase product use, features, and real‑world applications across The Malco Group's entire portfolio, including Malco Tools, VETO Pro Pac, and other sub‑brands.
You will manage video uploads to YouTube and oversee channel operations, optimizing content for maximum engagement and reach across relevant platforms. This includes implementing video tactics such as SEO, A/B testing, and performance analysis to increase viewership, subscriber growth, and overall impact. You will also provide technical and marketing support for learning/training strategies, trade shows, events, in‑field demonstrations, and influencer collaborations.
As a key contributor to a cross‑functional team, you will collaborate with product management, engineering, sales, and marketing leaders to develop and maintain best‑in‑class content for all marketing and sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
Capture demonstrations, b‑roll, creative, and technical images/videos of products across The Malco Group portfolio to create dynamic marketing assets.
Manage photo and video projects from concept to deliverable, including shoots in studio, worksites, standard product stills, 360 images, and enhanced brand content.
Create standard to creative lighting setups and brand guidelines for videos and photo shoots.
Concept demonstrations and sets to build compelling environmental narratives and visuals that appeal to trade pro end‑users.
Select job sites for in‑field shoots and ensure compliance with building construction PPE and industry safety guidelines.
Edit videos, audio, and photos using Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools, optimizing for various formats (e.g., web, high‑def, social, SCORM/LMS modules, TV, print).
Incorporate motion graphics and kinetic typography into videos, including animated product call‑outs, branded lower‑thirds, text overlays, transitions, and dynamic on‑screen elements to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
Use after effects or other industry standard tools to design and animate custom graphics (e.g., key feature call‑outs, benefit animations, instructional text sequences) that align with The Malco Group brand guidelines and optimize for social, YouTube, and training content.
Create short‑form animated/motion graphic assets (e.g., product highlights, quick‑tip animations, promo intros/outros) for use across platforms to increase retention and shareability.
Manage YouTube channels, including uploading and optimization for engagement (e.g., thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, end screens, cards) and research and implementation of tactics to increase reach and performance.
Analyze video metrics (e.g., views, watch time, retention, CTR) and apply insights to refine tactics across platforms for higher engagement and audience growth.
Manage and maintain the video and photo studio, equipment, and asset libraries.
Actively collaborate with cross‑functional teams to inform and update content for new product launches, portfolio projects, training materials, events, and influencer campaigns.

Key Relationships
Product Management: Support marketing launches for new products, special projects, and portfolio campaigns across The Malco Group brands.
Marketing new product launch leader(s)
Product Learning and Training Manager: Collaborate on training videos for internal and external audiences.
Sales Director: Assist with sales efforts, marketing projects, key account activities, campaigns, and programs by providing compelling, demand‑generating content.
Engineering: Partner on new product launches, portfolio projects, Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), and New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Technical and mechanical aptitude for tools and the building construction industry.
Advanced understanding of the professional creative photography and video process, from concepting, shooting, editing, archiving, and sharing across a PIM/DAM platform.
Proficiency in file formats, video codecs, and optimization for web, high‑def, social, SCORM/LMS modules, print, and TV (various aspect ratios).
Expertise with pro‑level video cameras, mirrorless, DSLRs, audio recording technology, and lighting setups.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software, including motion graphics programs, 3D software, and post‑production tools (e.g., color grading, retouching, aspect‑ratio adaptation).
Proven skills in YouTube channel management, video SEO, engagement tactics (e.g., A/B testing thumbnails/calls‑to‑action), and platform‑specific strategies to maximize reach and performance.
Strong analytical abilities to interpret metrics and apply insights for content optimization across platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction, managing multiple projects to flawless execution.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in photography as well as videography, film production, digital media, marketing communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Minimum of 8 years of consistent hands‑on experience in digital content creation, photography, and video production, preferably in a marketing, product, or in‑house studio environment.
Proven track record of independently managing end‑to‑end studio projects with minimal supervision, delivering high‑quality assets on time and within brand guidelines.
Demonstrated success in optimizing video content for engagement and reach on platforms like YouTube (e.g., growing channels through SEO, tactics, and metrics analysis).
Or a combination of relevant education and experience demonstrating advanced skills and independence.
Travel Requirements
