THE POSITION
The Department of Labor & Industry is searching for an energetic, efficient, and detail oriented individual for a Clerical Assistant 2 position in our Norristown District Office. In this role, you will perform a full range of clerical duties to support the vocational rehabilitation staff and ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Department.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The duties of this position include communicating with the public via telephone or in person and providing clerical support to all vocational rehabilitation staff members. You will be required to assist with receptionist duties, transcribe and type documents, access and retrieve information electronically, and prepare requests for medical records as needed. This position requires maintaining the confidentiality of case files to be paramount.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
