Production Associate Manufacturing

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals for a Production Associate position in a manufacturing environment. This role involves performing multiple phases of production operations, including machining, assembly, and painting of components and completed driveshafts used in light-duty vehicles such as pickup trucks and SUVs.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing all aspects of assigned production operations. Associates may work across multiple functions and operate various equipment as part of daily responsibilities. Success in this role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to standardized work instructions, and a commitment to producing high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily work schedules and verify equipment, safety devices, and materials are ready for production
  • Learn and follow all work instructions, processes, and job procedures
  • Perform machining, assembly, and/or painting operations as assigned
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure product standards are met
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas (housekeeping)
  • Complete required production documentation accurately
  • Maintain equipment and tools as needed
  • Report safety hazards, quality issues, and material shortages to leadership
  • Participate in team-based work environments and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow all Quality and Environmental Management System policies
  • Adhere strictly to all safety rules and procedures
  • Cross-train on multiple positions as needed

Required Competencies

  • Basic math skills for Statistical Process Control (SPC) measurements and charting
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, processes, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret metric measurements using measuring tools
  • Ability to learn and operate production equipment and tools

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing (100%) and walking (up to 75%)
  • Regular lifting/carrying of 5 40 lbs
  • Push/pull forces up to 35 lbs
  • Repetitive motion cycles ranging from 200 1500 per shift
  • Full range of motion required (neck, shoulders, arms, back, knees, etc.)
  • Work performed indoors on concrete floors

Working Conditions May Include:

  • Moderate noise and vibration, moving mechanical parts, exposure to dust and chemicals, slick floors, and confined or narrow spaces

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • At least two work references or 6 months of prior work experience
  • Ability to meet all physical requirements of the position
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
