THE POSITION
Porter Law Firm is seeking an experienced real estate attorney to help support our property owner association section in preparing and organizing various legal documents, amending and/or drafting governing documents, ensuring the association’s compliance with state law, and when necessary, managing lawsuits. The position will report to the Firm’s managing partner for the property owner association section. The Attorney shall serve as corporate counsel for their assigned Clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
Their primary job duties shall include the following:
Communication with Clients
Supervise Legal Assistants
Attend Client Board/Member Meetings
Prepare and pursue judicial foreclosures
Conduct legal research, prepare legal opinions, and court briefings
30-40 hours/week
DESIRED QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed to practice in Texas / and the Western District of Texas
Proficient with MS Office
Able to maintain a full-time, in-person working schedule and hit billing minimums
Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities under deadlines
Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail
Approachable, customer service mentality
Ability to multi-task, quick learner that thrives in a fast-paced work environment
