As a Civil Design Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of our engineering projects, playing a pivotal role in the successful execution and delivery of high-quality outcomes. This position provides an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and environmental projects. You will be the driving force behind the planning, design, and implementation of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

Oversee all stages of project life cycles, from initial planning and feasibility assessment through to design, construction, and project completion.

Lead a team of engineers and other professionals in the execution of project tasks, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring all aspects are effectively coordinated and executed.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities, maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring all parties are kept informed of progress and any changes.

Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.

Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Review and approve project designs, providing expert guidance and input to ensure optimal outcomes.

Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the project, ensuring a timely and satisfactory resolution.

Continually monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments to keep the project on track.

Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the effectiveness of project management strategies and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering civil engineering projects.

In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including design, construction, and project management.

Proficiency in using project management software and tools, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and excellence.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
