Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Civil Project Manager to assist with our projects in Cleveland, OH!
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Leadership
Manage
project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources , ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational standards.
Oversee the
full lifecycle of civil engineering projects , from early planning and feasibility through design, permitting, and execution.
Coordinate with
clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and internal teams , ensuring clear communication and timely decision‑making.
Prepare
proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and contract documents
for new and ongoing projects.
Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure
on‑time delivery
of design packages and submittals.
Lead project meetings, maintain documentation, and proactively identify and resolve project risks or issues.
Technical Oversight & Quality Control
Provide
technical direction
for site design, stormwater management, and utility design across a variety of project types.
Conduct
quality control reviews
of engineering plans, reports, and calculations prepared by the project team.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal QA/QC standards.
Support and guide permitting efforts, including preparation of submittals, responses to review comments, and coordination with approving authorities.
Team Development & Collaboration
Mentor and guide
junior engineers and designers , providing technical feedback, training, and professional development support.
Collaborate closely with senior engineers, discipline leads, and CAD staff to deliver coordinated, high‑quality design packages.
Foster a collaborative team environment that supports innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
10+ years of civil engineering experience, with increasing responsibility.l>
Demonstrated experience managing civil/site development and/or municipal projects.
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and common engineering design tools.
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multi‑disciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Professional Engineering License (preferred)
Experience with Michigan municipal standards, agency permitting, and development review processes.
Knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools (HEC‑RAS, SWMM, HydroCAD, etc.).
Experience working directly with private developers, commercial clients, and municipal departments.
