Our talented staff of more than 650+ professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering and construction solutions. Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Civil Project Manager to assist with our projects in Detroit!
Key Responsibilities
Manage civil engineering projects from concept through construction, including site development, roadway, utility, stormwater, and infrastructure improvements
Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal and private-sector clients
Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and risk management
Prepare and oversee the development of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including planning, environmental, surveying, and construction services
Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations
Lead meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders
Provide technical oversight, mentorship, and professional development for junior staff
Support business development efforts, including proposal development and client pursuits
Monitor project performance and ensure adherence to quality control standards
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Minimum of 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience, including:
Civil site development
Municipal infrastructure (roads, utilities, stormwater systems)
Private development and infrastructure projects
Proven experience in project management within a consulting environment
Strong understanding of permitting processes and regulatory coordination
Proficiency with civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
