Vice President of Fundraising & Business Development
Chicago, IL – RCP is looking to hire a Vice President to join our Fundraising & Business Development team. The Vice President of Business Development & Fundraising plays a critical role in not only prospecting and pitching investors independently, but also in the development and mentorship of junior fundraising team members. This position combines strategically supporting the fundraising team while building individual pitching and leadership development opportunities. This opportunity will provide established professionals with the opportunity to continue developing his or her skills in fundraising and business development while beginning to develop a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

Execute RCP’s investor relations through strategic, long-term relationships with key investors.

Establish and maintain relationships with key investors, identify and pursue new investment opportunities.

Manage complex investor inquiries and due diligence processes, ensuring a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.

Collaborate with team members to lead on tasks such as qualitative and quantitative data requests, cash flow analysis, and track fundraising efforts for various investment strategies.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to enable inner team development.

Represent the firm at industry events, trade shows, and professional gatherings while expanding RCP’s network and enhancing market presence.

Act in a professional and ethical manner toward team members and externally as a valued representation of RCP.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or related field

5+ years of financial background in sales, marketing, or fundraising experience

Track record of success in business development, client relationship management, or similar roles in financial services, private equity, or asset management

Experience in a VP role is a plus

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Salesforce

Willingness and ability to travel 25-50% of the time
