About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Institutional Advancement to lead a dynamic team responsible for development, alumni affairs, sponsored programs, public affairs, and special events. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing all giving programs, increasing fundraising through various initiatives, and developing a comprehensive fundraising unit that involves the entire academic community. This senior administrator will ensure a coordinated approach to development and public affairs, supporting the institution's strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, identifying and cultivating donor prospects, and developing a robust alumni giving program. The role also demands a high level of communication, strategic planning, and the ability to work effectively with diverse campus constituencies.

Applicants for the Vice President for Institutional Advancement position at the company should have a proven track record in development, with a preference for experience in higher education. The role requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in higher education fundraising or a related non-profit environment, and a minimum of 5 years in a senior administrative position. The ideal candidate will have a history of success in capital campaigns, be adept at managing a budget, and possess strong strategic planning and leadership skills. A Doctorate degree is preferred, but not required. The Vice President will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a passion for relationship building and fundraising. Experience with online fundraising, social media, and a deep understanding of the legal aspects of fundraising are also essential.
