Job Details

Job Title: Media Center Instructional Assistant

Location: Crooked Creek Elementary School

Work Schedule: Part Time – 3 hours/day (School Year 185 days)

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt - Hourly

Salary/Hourly Rate: $15.60 per hour

Benefits: Paid Illness and Personal Business days

Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED; must pass the paraprofessional exam if less than 60 college credit hours

Responsibilities

Assist in shelving and organizing Media Center Books & Equipment.

Reading aloud to students.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Must pass paraprofessional exam if less than 60 college credit years.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time – Very Frequent

Ability to carry 25 pounds – Occasional

Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations – Very Frequent

Ability to see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies, and other printed matter – Very Frequent

Ability to communicate so others can understand a normal conversation – Very Frequent

Ability to operate job‑related equipment – Very Frequent

Ability to reach in all directions – Very Frequent
