Associate Dean, Academic Affairs (Arts, Humanities, Communication and Design)

The purpose of the job is to serve in a management and leadership capacity reporting to the appropriate Dean or Administrator for the responsibility of overall department operations in accordance with college policies, procedures and contractual agreements, and college/pathway strategic planning goals and objectives.
Employees in this job classification are responsible for the comprehensive coordination and administration of all matters relating to personnel, students, scheduling, curriculum implementation, external agencies, instruction, and all financial considerations relating to the department, and accomplish such in coordination with the college's mission and college-wide goals and campus-based initiatives.
Associated Deans provide leadership for all instructional programs which may include all or some of the courses within the bachelor of applied science, associate in arts, associate in science, and associate in applied science degrees as well as vocational and technical certificates. Performs related work as directed.
Master's degree required. Doctorate Degree preferred.
Requires three years of teaching experience at the postsecondary level, with a history of demonstrated leadership roles in educational settings.
Excellent oral and written communication, financial management and budget design skills
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarly/creative research in higher education
In-depth knowledge of the academic discipline(s).

Salary Range $81,900 - $94,185 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
