Job Responsibilities

This staff position coordinates all events and communication for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, so this person works with faculty and staff at the direction of the Dean, Associate Dean, or Dept. Chairs. This position serves as primary liaison of the College's work with Lander's offices of Admissions; Marketing & Communications; Printing Services; and Student Activities to coordinate events and promote the College's news and achievements. This position also assists with students' needs and faculty needs in collaboration with other staff members.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and administrative experience. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an educational setting and events management.
Additional Comments

Knowledge of some Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Teams, and a willingness to learn administrative systems used by Lander University (e.g. Banner, Watermark) is essential. Some desktop publishing skills, excellent typing and proofreading skills, and excellent knowledge of grammar and spelling are required. Employee needs a collaborative personality and a capacity to handle a workload with frequent interruptions in order to assist students, staff, and faculty and to work with other administrative offices, specifically the offices of Admissions; Marketing and Communications; Printing Services; and Student Activities. Ability to supervise student workers.
