
Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive the U.S. expansion of a premium motorcycle protective gear and leather apparel brand, growing its retail presence and B2B distribution network. This role is centered on dealer acquisition, partnership development, and market penetration, establishing the brand as a trusted name across retail stores, rider communities, and distribution channels nationwide.
Core Responsibilities
1. Retail Network Development
Identify and onboard:
Multi‑brand retailers
Specialty riding stores
Build relationships with store owners and buyers.
Negotiate product placements and shelf space.
Ensure strong in‑store brand presence.
Develop partnerships with:
Wholesalers
Riding clubs and associations
Execute bulk sales agreements.
Manage pricing discussions and margins.
Expand regional coverage through structured distribution.
Identify high‑potential cities and regions.
Conduct competitor and pricing analysis.
Provide feedback to product and leadership teams.
4. Relationship Management
Maintain long‑term partnerships with retailers and distributors.
Ensure repeat orders and consistent engagement.
Handle partner concerns and resolve issues proactively.
Represent the brand in trade shows and industry events.
5. Brand Activation (Offline)
Coordinate in‑store promotions and visibility.
Work with biker communities for brand awareness.
Support local events, rides, and partnerships.
Strengthen brand's identity as a premium riding gear brand.

Number of active retail stores onboarded
Growth in B2B revenue (non‑ecommerce)
Repeat order rate
Market penetration by region
Brand visibility in physical stores
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field
Experience
3–7 years in:
Retail sales
Distribution networks
Experience in automotive, motorcycle, or apparel industry is a strong plus
Skills
Strong negotiation and persuasion ability
Relationship‑driven mindset
Field sales and territory management
Market analysis and reporting
Self‑driven with high ownership
