This open competitive advertisement is for an OPS position located in Central Office in Bureau of Facilities Management & Building Construction. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for the following: data entry, tracking, mining and analyzing of the department's energy consumption. Assisting professional staff on drafting reports by providing the information needed to finalize reports, assisting with research into new or improved methods or technologies in regards to energy consumption. Prepare, route and track pay applications and permit applications. Compile pre-construction and close out documents and vendor information. Receive and track submittals from vendors and contractors.
Knowledge and Communication Skills: Knowledge of office procedures, practices, and principles of effective communication; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills: Proficient in customer service, active listening, and establishing/maintaining effective working relationships with others. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word) and Adobe Pro. Organizational and Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze information, address public relations needs, organize files/records, and plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments. Administrative and Clerical Skills: Proficient in typing letters, memoranda, and business forms in correct format; ability to use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Telephone and Multi-tasking Skills: Ability to utilize multi-line phone systems and handle calls courteously and effectively.
Benefits: OPS employees who work an average of 30 hours or more per week are eligible to enroll in state group insurance plans.
