Position Summary
Kite Hill is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (Fractional) to lead the agency’s marketing strategy, brand positioning, and demand generation efforts. This person will oversee social and digital channels, drive qualified leads for the agency, and represent Kite Hill’s digital and social capabilities in new business pitches as part of our integrated communications offering.

You will be tasked to strengthen Kite Hill’s brand visibility and positioning in the B2B communications market, build a consistent inbound lead engine through owned and digital channels, elevate marketing to support growth, new business, and thought leadership and ensure digital and social capabilities are clearly articulated in integrated programs, both internally at Kite Hill and externally in client and new business meetings.

Key Responsibilities
Brand & Marketing
Own Kite Hill’s marketing roadmap, messaging, and positioning
Refine and maintain a clear brand narrative across all channels
Identify growth opportunities and marketing priorities tied to agency OKRs
Oversee LinkedIn strategy, website content, newsletters, and digital campaigns
Partner with internal team to repurpose client wins, insights, and POVs into marketing content
Align content with SEO/AEO and generative search visibility

Demand Generation
Develop and execute strategies to drive qualified inbound leads
Build marketing funnels across owned, earned, and paid channels
Track performance and optimize based on conversion metrics

New Business
Participate in new business pitches as the marketing/digital lead Help position Kite Hill’s social and digital services within integrated programs
Support pitch storytelling, case study development, and capability framing

Analytics & Performance
Establish KPIs for marketing performance (leads, engagement, conversion)
Report regularly on pipeline contribution and channel effectiveness
Work closely with CEO and senior leadership team on growth priorities
Partner with account teams to identify marketable success stories
Coordinate with operations on tools, systems, and marketing tech stack
Participate in client calls, as needed, representing the agency’s digital marketing team

Qualifications
12-15+ years in B2B marketing, preferably in agency or professional services
Strong track record in demand generation and brand building
Deep expertise in LinkedIn, content strategy, and digital growth
Comfortable in a client-facing role and confident in pitch environments
Experience positioning PR as part of integrated communications and marketing programs; experience working with or at a PR agency
Data-driven and outcomes-oriented
