What's the role?
As the Video Support you will be responsible for Video Network operations control and maintenance. Activities include maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading core video delivery systems (such as QAM, Servers, IP gear, Antenna, VOD, Active Video, Hospitality platforms) at the Video Headend and Data Center, ensuring seamless service for TV/Hospitality/APP. Duties include monitoring signals, resolving outages (tier 2 support), performing software/firmware updates, implementing new technology, managing FCC compliance and supporting field tech for a reliable, high‑quality HFC network.
How can you add value?
Support operational integration of Video Support infrastructure based operational engineering teams on a global basis by various platforms.
On‑Call rotation provides continuous support for critical systems/services and outages.
Maintenance of the Video Platforms system solutions in place.
System maintenance: Keep CATV transmission/reception equipment running smoothly (QAM, Servers, Receivers, etc.).
Troubleshooting & outage support: Diagnose and fix video signal issues, acting as escalation point for field techs.
Installation and upgrades: Install new equipment, implement software/firmware updates and configure IP mapping.
Compliance & monitoring: Ensure FCC rules are met and monitor network performance (bandwidth, saturation).
Documentation & reporting: Maintain records, prepare data and report on activities.
Collaboration: Train other staff, work with field tech on network issues.
Facility management: Maintain cleanliness, security, HVAC and backup power supplies.
General tasks: Incident Tier‑2 support & fix.
Monitor and analyze system performance, such as network traffic, security, and capacity.
Proactive fault management.
Operational performance management.
Security mitigation.
Routine maintenance & support.
Technical vendor interface.
Lab testing/ORT support.
Responsible for realizing platform support end state and related business targets.
Harmonization, standardization and continuous improvement.
Operational SLA management and operational day‑to‑day vendor SLA management.
On‑call rotation.
Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, as well as all Liberty PR and LLA policies, procedures, Code of Conduct, and safety standards.
Other functions that may be assigned.
What do you need?
Education and/or Experience
Associate degree is required.
1–2 years of related experience.
Other Qualifications
English and Spanish communication skills preferred.
Strong resolution and analytical skills.
Effective time‑management skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, attention to detail, communication, work under pressure.
Basic networking and programming knowledge, RF, digital signal processing, IP networking, video signal flow.
Tool: proficiency with spectrum analyzers, signal meters, modulators, encoders, multimeter.
Distinct ability to test and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, or compatibility with existing systems.
Experience and appreciation of working in a customer‑focused environment.
Support vendor relationships that reduce costs, improve service levels.
