Walsh Jesuit High School is seeking a full-time dedicated Visual Arts Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Visual Arts Teacher will work under the supervision of the Principal. The ideal candidate will have expertise in areas of Art Foundations as well as Photography.
Major Responsibilities Instructional Planning & Delivery Teach the curriculum reflecting knowledge of the subject matter (subject matter expert) and of specific learning styles of your students
Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts
Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions or activities
Compile, evaluate and/or grade students' class work reflecting learning styles of students
Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of curricula, course materials and methods of instruction.
Utilize up-to-date technology in lesson plans and classroom management
Classroom & Student Management Manage the classroom to ensure successful learning for every student
Maintain contact with students and parents with effective and regular communication
Professional Growth & Content Expertise Maintain expertise in field through ongoing professional development demonstrating a commitment to field of study or knowledge of learning styles
Faith Formation Embrace, display, and support Catholic/Christian values and spiritual formation.
Regular participation in Ignatian formation activities including the school’s formal formation program, school masses, retreats, and other activities/events as scheduled.
Core Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or post graduate work in Fine Arts or a related field
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Understanding technology in curriculum design and classroom presentation
Valid Ohio teaching license
Experience in Catholic learning environment preferred

Compensation and Benefits Walsh Jesuit is a wonderful community and, as a full-time employee, the Visual Arts Teacher will be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance immediately upon employment.
