Accounting Assistant Details:
Temp-to-Hire position
$ 20.00 / hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 06:00pm)
Improve accounts payable and supplier processes through continuous process and system review
Collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance to resolve invoice issues
Process high-volume invoices (approvals, 3-way match, posting/parking) in SAP and Markview
Manage multiple invoice types, including materials, services, freight, utilities, and non-POs
Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Communicate with suppliers to address payment issues and maintain accurate records
Monitor parked invoices to ensure compliance with contract terms
Create and deliver training for new and existing team members
Support audits, reporting, vendor master updates, and SOX requirements
Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects
Balance daily transactional work with continuous improvement efforts
Apply correct processes across a wide range of invoice scenarios
Support operations across multiple plants, locations, and manufacturing sites
Collect and publish variations by supplier to drive common processes and learning within the team.
Compose training materials and direct training sessions for existing and new associates.
Participate in and execute special projects in areas such as metric reporting, vendor master and supplier questions, audit requests, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Determining the appropriate process or course of action to follow for all types of invoices, including inbound freight, outbound freight, direct materials, finished goods, utilities, services and non P.O. invoices.
