Web Analytics Engineer Job at ROI Revolution, Inc. in Raleigh
ROI Revolution, Inc., Raleigh, NC, United States
Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity in the field of web analytics implementation and testing? Do you enjoy solving technical problems, analyzing data, identifying patterns, and providing excellent customer service?
We are looking for an intellectually curious, self‑motivated individual who enjoys working with people as much as solving complex technical problems. If this describes you, we would love to hear from you!
How will you make a difference?
As a Web Analytics Engineer, you will work directly with clients to implement custom web analytics tracking solutions to support our agency’s online advertising services. You will use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google BigQuery, SQL, web browser development tools, Looker Studio, and related technologies to solve challenging tracking and reporting problems. You will regularly test and deploy tracking scripts and troubleshoot problems with data accuracy and trends, and you’ll have the opportunity to work with in‑house tools that boost the power and efficiency of data analysis and reporting.
Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a self‑motivated, proactive mindset are the necessary tools for success. A passion for data, an interest in writing basic custom code solutions, and a customer service mindset to help clients achieve their data collection and reporting goals are also essential. We will provide all the training you need to become an expert in all in‑house and third‑party technologies.
What will you do?
Develop expert‑level knowledge of the tracking and reporting capabilities of data collection tools such as Google Analytics, digital advertising platforms, ecommerce platforms, and other related technologies.
Communicate data problems and solutions to clients in terms that are easy to understand and relevant to their business needs.
Answer tracking‑related requests from clients and internal teams, ensuring timely responses and effectively managing multiple deadlines.
Design web analytics solutions by understanding a client’s data collection goals, gathering requirements, defining project scope, and providing technical guidance.
Directly implement and test tracking solutions using Google Tag Manager, JavaScript, and browser development tools.
Create, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve data collection frameworks, often in collaboration with client development teams.
Assist with advanced data joining and query building in Google BigQuery using SQL to support in‐depth analyses, custom reporting, and in‑house data enhancement technologies.
Ideate and design strategically insightful reports for both internal and external stakeholders, incorporating their needs and feedback throughout report development.
Work collaboratively within a small team environment to optimize idea and knowledge sharing.
Develop related training materials and process documentation.
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience in web analytics, digital analytics, or a closely related field.
Bachelor’s degree or related experience in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering).
Basic familiarity with some web development or programming languages and debugging tools (e.g., JavaScript, SQL, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, JSON, and/or Chrome DevTools).
Essential Qualifications
Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and remain resilient with changing workloads and deadlines.
A demonstrated capacity and willingness to learn.
Highly motivated individual with a proven ability to deliver results.
Embodies ROI’s core values and is willing to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
