Quality Inspector

Essex Industries is a multi-site aerospace and defense manufacturer serving military and commercial customers worldwide. The Quality Inspector will perform inspections and tests to ensure mechanical components, assemblies, and materials meet design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the production process.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform product inspections to confirm dimensional and specification compliance.

  • Create, update and complete inspection records both manually and electronically.

  • Verify certifications and test reports comply with specification requirements.

  • Operate automated inspection equipment (CMM, Romer Arm, Vision System, etc.)

  • Perform calibration procedures to verify the gage accuracy.

  • Analyze and document nonconformances and corrective actions.

  • Verify dimensional conformance through surface plate layouts.

  • Monitor shop floor operations to ensure they meet production standards.



Skills:

  • Able to utilize standard measurement equipment.

  • Able to interpret engineering blueprints and associated GD&T.

  • Identify and select appropriate measurement methodologies and gaging.

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems.

  • Computer literacy.



Requirements:

  • High school education or trade school graduation certificate

  • Fundamental computer skills.

  • 2 years of manufacturing or inspection experience.
