The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, analytics, and organizational skills to serve as Administrative Specialist 2 in the Judicial Education & Performance Unit.
The work of the Judicial Education & Performance Unit is dynamic, fast-paced, and calls for administrative staff to be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and flexible. Attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness, as well as strong information management and customer service skills, are essential components of this position. Join a team of professionals charged with creating and executing effective judicial education training and professional development events.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Example of Duties

Work collaboratively with all event team members to ensure successful virtual and in-person training events, including pre-event preparation, on-site event support, and post-event data collection/preservation.
Engage professionally with a variety of conference faculty to coordinate virtual and in-person judicial education events.
Administer the unit's CLE program, including entries to the provider CLE accreditation system, updating and maintaining accurate judge training transcripts, and issuing CLE certificates for each judicial training event statewide.
Establish record-keeping and tracking systems; verify and enter data against source documents.
Assemble education event materials and assist in working with necessary in-house and outside partners to ensure the appropriate materials are accurately produced, compiled, and packaged for transport/delivery.
Review and recommend improvements in inventory and handling of all materials.
Upload, duplicate, remaster, or create electronic and media files for materials.
Other tasks as assigned by Unit management.
Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Demonstrated experience in administrative support, event coordination, or a related field is strongly desired.
Strong organizational, analytic, and information management skills are preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is desired.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management will be helpful.
Ability to travel to training event venues throughout the state strongly preferred.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
