The Role

Entegris is currently seekingaScientistII,tojoin ourProduction Analytical Chemistryteam. This position will be basedinourBurnet, Txfacility.

In this role, you willhelp analyze and characterize the materials that help design, deliver, andoptimizesome of the most critical semiconductor devices in the world. We are seeking a Scientist II with in-depth knowledge of analytical chemistry and techniques that can troubleshoot, develop, andoptimizeanalytical methods for routine and non-routine QC analysis to support the Manufacturing and Engineering Teams. Due to the complex nature of sample matrices, this opportunity allows the right person to expand upon their technical skill set andparticipateona dynamic team in a growing organization.

WhatYou'llDo

  • Prepare and conduct chemical and/or physical analyses as defined by existing work instructions on routine and non-routine samples using analytical instruments including: ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC, GC/MS, HPLC, IC, XRF, UV-Vis, NIR, KF, etc.(Second Shift:generally,1pm- 930pmTuesday through Saturday, limited weekend and/or holiday coverage may berequiredbased on business needs)TBD

  • Document, process, transfer, and review analytical data to ensure completion, conformity, traceability, and validity and support production and other internal/external customer needs; take corrective action when necessary

  • Maintain instrumentation, tools, chemicals, and consumablesrequiredfor product testing purposes

  • Effectively troubleshoot instruments and resolve any hardware or software issues

  • Verifythe efficacy of samples and ensure that all samples and chemicals areproperly storedordisposed

  • Lead projects and efforts to foster continuous improvement of new or existing testing methods and practices

  • Assistto ensureproper Laboratory cleanliness to support high quality trace-level data

  • Compile and present data and presentations to communicate data and other relevant information for continuous improvement, method development/validation, and other projects

  • Work on cross-functional teams as the analytical subject matter expert

  • Train other personnel to analyze samples or perform other laboratory tasks

  • Follow and improve safety guidelines andmaintaina clean and orderly environment (5S Guidelines)

WhatWeSeek

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry or relevant area of study

  • 3-5 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, andmaintaininganalytical instrumentation (LC, LC-MS, IC, IC-MS, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES)

  • Experience with QC/QA using statistical methods (GR&R, SPC, Precision, Accuracy)

  • "Safety First" attitude which is practiced with integrity and a high degree of accountability.Knowledge and demonstration of proper safe handling, disposal ofchemicalsand ability tomaintaina clean and safe workspace.

  • Advanced computer knowledge, including MS Office

  • Proven record of completing lab work safely, correctly, efficiently,timely, and independently

  • Availability to expand upon personal job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities, special project teams, and reading technical publications

  • Ability to multi-task and balance independent and teamwork time effectively

  • Dedication to meticulous attention to detail and organization

  • Strong dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and ability to safely perform routine repetitive motions

  • Advanced mechanical inclination and experienceoperatingelectrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment
