Seton Hall University seeks adjunct instructors to teach sections of our first‑year writing classes. These are composition courses with an emphasis on rhetorical analysis. They fall into two categories: English 1201 is a composition course with a rhetorical focus, stressing textual and visual analysis, while English 1202 is an academic writing course focused on literature.
Students will be taught at Seton Hall University located in South Orange, New Jersey, 14 miles from New York City.

Duties and Responsibilities
Teach 1-2 classes per semester; classes meet 2‑3 times a week.
Hold office hours and grade/review assignments.

Required Qualifications
M.A. in a related field.
Experience teaching composition in a college or university setting.
Desired Qualifications
Ph.D. in a related field.
Salary Range
Minimum pay is $1,200 per credit for those without a terminal degree and $1,300 per credit for those with a terminal degree.
