Valle Vista Hospital, a 132 bed facility located in Greenwood, Indiana, has been providing high-quality behavioral health care since 1983. We offer care for a broad range of psychiatric and addiction disorders. Our programs include inpatient, outpatient and medication-assisted treatment for adults, and residential and inpatient treatment for children and adolescents. These programs are designed to help adults, children and teens learn the necessary skills to regain confidence, heal and successfully function at home, work, school and in their communities.
The Intake Clerk functions an active member of the Assessment and Referral Department, providing continuous administrative support, patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients and their families. Assessment & Referral Telephone screening of all inquiry calls with appropriate referrals made for any emergency situations and appointments scheduled as indicated. Documents inquiry calls in system data base Coordinates with other mental health facilities to obtain clinical referral information and schedule referrals within a timely manner. Completes Admission paperwork in accordance with policy. Posts Appointment schedule for following day and distributes to the receptionist, nurse and the Director. Makes follow-up calls to those failing to show for scheduled appointments.
Qualifications: Education: High School Degree or equivalent required. Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness and substance abuse, preferred. Licensure: None Hours of Work: 11:00pm to 7:30am (M-F) Additional Requirements: May be required to work overtime and flexible hours when needed.
