Job Summary
NFP, an Aon company, is a multiple Best Places to Work award winner in Business Insurance. The Individual Health Account Manager works with NFP individual clients and collaborates with other NFP Account Managers. The role involves day‑to‑day client servicing, selling new and existing policies, managing renewals, marketing, preparing presentation materials, and maintaining client files. The position requires strong verbal, electronic, and written communication skills, independent discretion, and the ability to work additional hours during enrollment season.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Proactively develop relationships with carriers and client contacts, may take an active role in meetings.

Prepare and send proposals to clients from multiple software programs.

Lead client and carrier interactions to sell and service policies, including status verification.

Create and maintain client files in accordance with office procedures; may be responsible for keeping policy records in the agency management system.

Provide first‑line assistance with billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel, with support from Accounting when necessary.

Maintain a current Health and Life Insurance License.

Certify and recertify with ACA markets (Federal or State), individual carriers, and Medicare (AHIP).

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows.

Possesses strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Sharp attention to detail, decision‑making, and problem resolution.

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, deadlines, technologies, and products.

Education And or Experience

Associate’s degree (or equivalent); BA/BS preferred but not required.

More than two years of client service and/or industry and product line experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

Life and Health Insurance License required or committed to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Must certify and recertify with ACA markets (Federal or State) as well as with individual carriers and Medicare (AHIP).
