Warehouse Coordinator RI
Our Cranston, RI distribution center is in search of a Warehouse Coordinator. They would be responsible for supporting and coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping activities. This role serves as a key operational link between warehouse teams, administration, and management, helping to maintain accuracy, productivity, and compliance with company, safety, and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
Coordinate daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Monitor workflow on the warehouse floor and assist in prioritizing tasks based on operational needs
Communicate effectively with warehouse team members, administration, sales, and management regarding order status, shortages, and operational issues
Shipping and Receiving
Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is completed accurately and maintained in accordance with company policy
Coordinate with freight carriers, UPS, FedEx, and LTL providers to schedule dock times and outbound shipments
Assist with resolving shipping discrepancies and carrier-related issues as needed
Inventory Control
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and location management
Identify and report inventory variances, damaged goods, and opportunities for process improvement
Assist in maintaining bin locations, labeling, and organization standards
Safety, Quality, and Compliance
Ensure daily operations comply with OSHA, ISO, and company safety requirements
Promote safe work practices and immediately report safety concerns or incidents
Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
Equipment and Physical Work
Assist with training on proper equipment usage when directed by the Warehouse Manager
Additional Responsibilities
Support warehouse administrative tasks as assigned, including paperwork flow and data entry
Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Additional training or coursework in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of two to three years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes
Forklift experience or willingness to become certified
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Physical Requirements
This is a physical, fast-paced position requiring lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials typically weighing 2535 pounds, and occasionally up to 70 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
