Front Desk Receptionist

We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our Wellness Center team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming and efficient experience.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is comfortable working with individuals receiving mental health services, where confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism are essential.
Key Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Answer and route incoming calls; take accurate messages as needed
Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility
Collect co-pays and post payments accurately
Maintain patient records, logs, and documentation
Manage front desk workflow and ensure efficient patient flow
Balance daily receipts and assist with basic financial reporting
Provide administrative support (filing, correspondence, mail distribution)
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient care
Confidentiality & Work Environment

Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and patient privacy standards
Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Demonstrate empathy and respect when working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges
Help create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment for all patients
Qualifications

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
At least 6 months of receptionist, administrative, or healthcare front desk experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
Proficient in data entry and basic computer systems
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a medical office, behavioral health, or wellness setting
Familiarity with insurance verification and practice management systems
